Welcome to Rumr ("Rumr", "we", "us", or "our"). Rumr is a web-based chat application that allows users to create and join instant chatrooms without registering an account.

By accessing or using Rumr, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the service.

1. Service Description

Rumr enables real-time communication through temporary chatrooms that can be joined by choosing a username. No account creation is required.

Rumr does not provide message history or permanent conversation storage.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use Rumr.

If you are under the age of majority in your jurisdiction, you represent that you have permission from a parent or legal guardian to use the service.

3. User Conduct

By using Rumr, you agree that you will not:

  • Use the service for any unlawful purpose
  • Harass, threaten, abuse, or intimidate others
  • Share content that is hateful, defamatory, obscene, sexually explicit, or violent
  • Impersonate another person or misrepresent your identity
  • Distribute spam, malware, or harmful code
  • Interfere with or disrupt the service or its infrastructure
  • Attempt to bypass security or access controls

You are solely responsible for any content you transmit while using Rumr.

4. Usernames and Anonymity

Usernames on Rumr are self-assigned and not verified. Rumr does not guarantee the identity, accuracy, or intent of any user.

You acknowledge that:

  • Other users may misrepresent themselves
  • Conversations may involve unknown or anonymous participants
  • Rumr is not responsible for user interactions

5. No Message Retention

Rumr is designed so that messages are transmitted in real time and are not retained as conversation history by the service.

However, Rumr cannot control or prevent other users from copying, recording, or sharing messages outside the platform. Use discretion when communicating.

6. Moderation and Enforcement

Rumr reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to:

  • Monitor activity for abuse prevention and system integrity
  • Restrict, suspend, or block access to the service
  • Disable chatrooms or connections that violate these Terms
  • Take action without prior notice

Rumr is under no obligation to provide support or dispute resolution.

7. Service Availability

Rumr is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis.

We do not guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or available at all times. Features may change, and the service may be modified or discontinued at any time.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Rumr disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including but not limited to:

  • Fitness for a particular purpose
  • Merchantability
  • Accuracy or reliability of user content
  • Security or availability of the service

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Rumr and its owner shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages arising from:

  • Use of or inability to use the service
  • User-generated content or interactions
  • Loss of messages or communications
  • Unauthorized access or misuse of the service

Your sole remedy is to stop using Rumr.

10. Privacy

Rumr does not require account registration and is designed to minimize data collection.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms at any time. Updated Terms will be posted on this page with a revised "Last updated" date.

Continued use of Rumr after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of British Columbia, Canada, without regard to conflict of law principles.
