How does one pronounce Rumr?

Rumr is pronounced the same as the words that inspired its name: rumour and roomer.

How do I create a room?

To create a free room, go to the Create Free Room page, enter a username, then press enter or click the Create button.

Before creating the room, you can fill in a name and a description to tell others what the room is about. Adding a password is also an option to restrict access to the room.

To create a room with customizable URL and extra features, you can register for a paid room then "Start" that room from your account page.

How do I join a room?

Once you have a room's URL, you can visit that URL and enter a username to join the room. If the room is password-protected, you would need to enter the correct password.

How do I exit a room?

There are two ways to exit a room. One option is to click the downward arrow icon on the top-left corner of the chat interface and select Leave Room.

Another option is to simply just close the browser tab or window and wait a few minutes for automatic removal.

How do I close a room?

Free rooms automatically go offline after they are empty for a few minutes.

Paid rooms can be closed either by clicking the downward arrow icon on the top-left corner of the chat interface and selecting End or by going to their account page and closing the room from there.

Why can't I see my chat history?

Rumr does not store or archive messages. There is no chat history to see. Chatters will miss the messages sent while they were not in the room.
